From February to September in 2024, I worked as a game developer at Alter Learning to develop and optimize several educational games. Block Wars is perfect for kids aged 5 and up, and it’s all about getting the most blocks in your color and winning the round. Block Wars is a fun way to practice ratio and probability skills.
When I was with the team of the Hyper-Casual Games at Alter Learning, my responsibilities and contributions involved:
(1) Developed and Optimized Game Mechanics: Enhanced gameplay experiences by debugging core mechanics in Quiz Fall, ensuring logical consistency in quiz answer evaluations and streamlined UI interactions in Block Wars
(2) Collaborative Development: Coordinated with the team during Unity development meetings to brainstorm innovative solutions and implement hyper-casual game features aligned with Alter Learning’s vision
(3) Bug Fixing and Testing: Identified and resolved gameplay bugs, such as incorrect answer selections and unintended outcomes
(4) Documentation and Code Maintenance: Documented key development processes, adhered to clean coding standards, and maintained version control for continuous improvement and scalability
